One of the most critical features of the LOC400 is that the rig can be broken down into modules with the dimensions of standard ISO containers. With this, the LOC400 can be transported quickly and economically by water, road or rail, anywhere in the world.

Another advantage of the rig is its small footprint – approximately 65 x 30m – which ensures its suitability for drilling even in the most confined, urban environments.

The LOC400 also has a keen focus on safety. Highly automated and featuring a crane-less rig up procedure, the rig offers considerably reduced human exposure during potentially high-risk operations.

Efficiency plays a strong role, too. The LOC can utilise the Huisman Enhanced Casing Installation (ECI) system. This level 3 casing while drilling device installs the casing while drilling, minimising the time to drill by between 20 and 50% and reducing drilling risks.
