Huisman to deliver Leg Encircling Cranes for Cadeler’s new T-class vessels
Huisman has been awarded a contract by COSCO Shipping (Qidong) Offshore Co. Ltd., (COSCO) for the delivery of two Leg Encircling Cranes as well as two Auxiliary Cranes for Cadeler's next-generation T-Class offshore wind installation vessels.
Featuring an improved load curve, these Leg Encircling Cranes are specifically designed to enhance the vessels’ lifting capabilities and operational flexibility, supporting the installation of increasingly complex offshore wind projects.
The auxiliary cranes will support a broad range of lifting and handling activities, contributing to safe, efficient and productive offshore operations.
Manufactured at Huisman's production facility in Zhangzhou, China, the cranes will be installed onboard Cadeler's new vessels being built by COSCO in Qidong. The next-generation T-class vessels are designed to support the continued growth of the offshore wind industry, offering the capability and capacity required to install larger foundations and turbines.
